Cicatrices / Scars

Collaboration with Russian Artist and Writer Anna Bokler. French: “Cicatrices” raconte l’histoire des cicatrices d'Anna. Les tirages d’Alexandre montrent marques sans détourner le regard et les textes d'Anna les accompagnent. Il n’y a rien d’autre que des individus invitant à une conversation avec le spectateur sur des sujets capitaux: la maltraitance envers les femmes, la brutalité des hommes et de leurs mondes. Le bagage indélébile qu'ils laissent aussi. “Photographies Cicatrices” tells the story of Anna's scars. Alexandre's prints show the marks without averting the gaze and Anna accompanies each print with her writing. It's about artists inviting spectators to partake in critical conversations: about abuse against women, about the brutality of men and their world. About the lasting baggage they leave behind as well.
